Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better popularly known as Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Her first single was released on the label on October 21 of 2016, entitled Pho, and she began gaining recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 when she launched her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. The singer continued uploading her music on the internet in 2014, including the independently-released single Bound. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes which was released from Sweat It Out, on July 21, 2015. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark.
